You could also watch as the shopkeepers prepared for the day or packed up for the night. and the Kaminarimon Gate was better than fantastic - you had the view of the packed street but the noise was minimal. We had an accessible room with western beds and a large bathroom with a soaking tub which were a blessing after the grueling transit ordeal from our country. The rooms are air-conditioned and come with a flat-screen TV, fridge and Nespresso coffee machine. Kaminarimon Ryokan offers accommodation with free WiFi.
